My internal drive was not working properly. Instead of taking to shop or trying to fix it myself, I decided to purchase a external drive. It works perfectly. It is easy to install and to use. I am very satisfied with it.

The unit was working fine for 8 months when I turned it on and it sounded like a wounded cow. Even though mortally wounded it still worked. It has a one year limited warranty and it was replaced without charge which shows good faith on the part of the manufacturer. I can't give an honest opinion on the replacement until I have used it for at least a year, but I will give an A+ for Office Depot's return policy along with the manufacturer's quick action to make things right. All products will have an occasional defect, and I believe this happened in this instance.

This player does what it advertises: Plays and records CD's with reasonable speed and quality.
Delivery was prompt and arrived within the advertised timetable.
Only drawback is that it lacks Lightscribe capability.
